Food discovery is often emotional: a video catches your attention and the decision feels immediate. The final order still deserves a practical check. A minute spent reviewing the item, destination and payment information can prevent the wrong size, an unavailable option or a delivery address that cannot be reached.

Confirm the item behind the video

A video may show the product from its most appealing angle or include more than one item in the frame. Open the connected item and read the current name and description. Check whether the video shows the standard portion, a combination, a paid addition or a serving suggestion.

  • Read what is included in the base price.
  • Check the size, quantity or serving information when it is provided.
  • Review flavour, side, protein or portion choices before adding the item.
  • Look for advance-order or limited-availability notes.
  • Do not assume every item visible in the background is part of the order.

Review customisations carefully

Options can change both the food and the final amount. Before confirmation, check each selected size, side, topping or removal. If you have an allergy or a serious dietary restriction, use the information and contact options available to assess suitability. A casual preference note is not a substitute for clear allergen information or direct safety guidance.

Use a delivery location someone can find

Confirm the pin, address or area shown for the order. Add a building name, gate, floor or landmark when the delivery point is difficult to identify. Make sure the contact number attached to the order is reachable. Delivery availability depends on the customer location, vendor and operating coverage.

If you need to change the destination, do it before submitting the order. A later change can alter serviceability, distance or the delivery charge and may not be possible once delivery is underway.

Read the delivery information shown for that order

There is no useful universal promise for every food order. Preparation, distance, traffic, weather, access and delivery capacity can all affect timing. Use the estimate or status information shown for the specific order when it is available. A vendor that needs time to bake, grill or finish an item should not be judged by the same preparation window as a ready product.

A delivery estimate is order-specific information, not a guarantee that every order will arrive within the same number of minutes.

Check the complete amount

Review item prices, option charges, delivery information and the final total before using a payment method. If something looks wrong, return to the item or cart rather than completing the payment and trying to correct it afterwards.

Use only the payment methods presented in the relevant flow. Never share an M-Pesa PIN, password or full payment credentials in a chat, call or support form. A legitimate support review may ask for an order reference, transaction reference, amount and time, but not the secret used to authorise payment.

Make sure the vendor can act on your notes

Order notes work best for short, relevant fulfilment instructions. They should not be used to request unpaid additions, major recipe changes or a different delivery location. If a required choice is not available in the item options, do not assume a note will make it possible.

After confirmation, follow the status

Status updates help explain whether the order is waiting for review, being prepared, ready for handoff or moving through delivery. Keep the phone available when delivery is expected, especially when access requires a gate call or landmark clarification.

Report problems with useful evidence

If an item is missing, incorrect, damaged or materially different from its description, contact support as soon as practical. Include the order reference and a factual description. Photographs of the item and packaging can help when relevant. Keep the affected food safely available during the review where practical.

For a suspected duplicate payment, keep the transaction references and amounts. Do not resend payment without first checking the status. Some pending transactions are reversed by the provider without a separate refund.

A compact pre-order checklist

  1. Is this the exact item and portion I intend to order?
  2. Are the selected options and additions correct?
  3. Is the confirmed delivery point reachable and is my phone available?
  4. Have I reviewed the delivery information and final amount?
  5. Am I using an available payment method without sharing secret credentials?

Visual discovery should make food easier to find. A clear final review makes the order easier to fulfil.
