1. Scope

This policy explains how GoDeliveries handles personal information when people use the public website, customer ordering experiences, vendor tools, digital menus, support channels and related delivery services.

The information collected in a particular interaction depends on the product features used and the information a person chooses to provide.

2. Information provided by customers

  • Account and profile information, such as a name, phone number, email address and account preferences.
  • Delivery information, including an address, delivery instructions and location information supplied for an order.
  • Order information, such as selected items, options, vendor, amount, status and order history.
  • Support communications, issue reports and any evidence supplied to help review an order or service concern.

3. Information provided by vendors and food creators

  • Applicant and business contact information, trading name, food category and operating location.
  • Business descriptions, menus, prices, availability, operating information and delivery-service needs.
  • Food photographs, videos, product descriptions and other content uploaded for a vendor profile or listing.
  • Onboarding, compliance, settlement or payment information requested when it is relevant to operating on the platform.

4. Payment-related information

GoDeliveries may receive transaction references, payment status, amount and other records needed to match a payment to an order or resolve an issue. Payment providers may process information under their own privacy terms.

GoDeliveries does not ask customers to send an M-Pesa PIN, password or full payment credentials through support or application forms.

5. Device, usage and location information

The service may process technical information such as device type, browser, pages viewed, approximate network location, timestamps and diagnostic events. Precise location is processed when a person deliberately provides it or gives a product permission to use it for a relevant feature.

The public marketing site only loads configured non-essential analytics tools after a visitor accepts analytics cookies.

6. How information is used

  • Provide accounts, digital menus, food discovery, ordering, vendor management and delivery coordination.
  • Confirm serviceability, communicate order status and respond to customer or vendor support requests.
  • Review vendor applications and support onboarding, product setup and operational administration.
  • Prevent misuse, protect users and vendors, troubleshoot the service and maintain appropriate records.
  • Understand public-site usage where analytics consent has been provided.

7. Sharing and service providers

Information may be shared with the vendor fulfilling an order, delivery providers or personnel coordinating delivery, payment providers, hosting and communications providers, professional advisers, and other service providers that support the requested service.

GoDeliveries may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, enforce terms, investigate misuse, protect safety or complete a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

8. Vendor responsibilities

Vendors receive information needed to fulfil orders and support customers. They must use it only for legitimate fulfilment, support and operational purposes, keep access limited, and comply with the terms and applicable requirements communicated during onboarding.

9. Retention

Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, protect the platform and meet applicable obligations. Different records may be kept for different periods. Data may be deleted, aggregated or de-identified when it is no longer needed.

10. Security

GoDeliveries uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to reduce the risk of unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No online service can promise absolute security. People should protect their devices, account credentials and payment PINs and report suspected misuse promptly.

11. Choices and rights

Depending on the circumstances and applicable requirements, a person may ask to access, correct or delete certain personal information, object to or restrict some processing, or withdraw a consent previously given. Requests may require identity verification, and some information may need to be retained for legitimate operational, safety or record-keeping reasons.

Cookie choices for the public website can be reset by deleting the consent cookie in browser settings.

12. Children

GoDeliveries is not designed for children to create accounts or place orders independently. A parent or guardian should supervise any permitted use by a minor. GoDeliveries may remove information when it learns that it was collected from a child in circumstances where it should not have been.

13. Changes and contact

This policy may change as the service and its operations develop. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised date.

Privacy questions or requests can be sent to hello@godeliveries.co.ke. Do not include passwords, M-Pesa PINs or full payment credentials.
